Exemplifying Patience & Gratitude

This year I've learned the importance of gratitude & patience. We must choose to be grateful no matter what, even if life may seem like it's supposed to be better. Appreciate what you have.  God is intentional, and there's a blessing in every lesson. These are the growing pains of our life. So, we have to make sure that we remain patient, and not rush into a lifestyle or future that we're not ready for. Learn to trust God's timing and not your own.

Below are 4 reasons why you should always practice gratitude, and why you should be patient:

1. Gratitude Stimulates Enthusiasm

Having a positive outlook on you situations, is the heart of practicing gratitude. Enthusiasm enables you to see the good in every situation, regardless of how bad you may think it is. It may seem like it's easier said than done, but having a positive attitude can help you push through challenging situations and maneuver through life more healthily and efficiently.

2. Gratitude Gives You a Piece of Mind

When you regularly feel grateful, and show gratitude towards others, you're more likely to feel loved and cared for by friends, family, and colleagues. It allows you to be mindful, and focus on the present. Learn to appreciate what you have, instead of what you don't have or what you think you're lacking. Gratitude also generates positive emotions like joy, love, and contentment. This can help eliminate negative emotions, such as, fear and anxiety.

3. Patience is a Virtue

Having patience is a strength in life, and it's a form of self-control. Being patient shows that you're able to handle when life gets tough. Patience is an important tool to overcome frustration, it allows us to have awareness, and make informed decisions. Having patience can lead to a content and peaceful life. Everyone should realize the importance of patience, and better their lives, by taking the necessary steps to be more patient.

4. Patience Acquires a More Positive Attitude

You need to see things and situations in a positive light to make your life happier. And to get that positivity, you need to be patient. If things are not going the way you want them to, instead of getting frustrated, you must learn to be patient.

If you find any life situation challenging, or find it difficult to bear, try to re-frame that situation and try to see its positive side.

Remember that practicing gratitude and patience will help you learn to appreciate life more, focus on what you have, instead of what you think you're lacking, and have a more positive outlook on your situations.
