National Institute of Mental Health This website provides easy-to read guides and brochures to help better understand a variety of mental health disorders.


National Alliance on Mental Health Find resources for youth, including information on managing your mental health in college and making friends.



Seeking Treatment:

Psychology Today presents a national directory of therapists, psychiatrists, therapy groups and treatment facility options.

SAMHSA Treatment Locator offers referrals to low cost/sliding scale mental health care, substance abuse and dual diagnosis treatment. Phone: 1-800-662-4357

Doctor On Demand you can find a psychologist or psychiatrist and find the personalized support you want.

Open Path  This site provides access to affordable in-office and online psychotherapy sessions in your area.

Therapy For Black Girls This is an online space that's dedicated to encouraging mental wellness for black girls and women. This site also offers a therapist directory to help you find a culturally competent therapist. I highly recommend, it's very beneficial.

Therapy For Black Men This is a site for men and boys of color to visit when seeking support for mental health guidance or professionals. This site was created to help strip away the stigmatization associated with men of color regarding therapy in their communities at large.



Suicide And Crisis:

The American Foundation for Suicide Prevention provides referrals to support groups, mental health professionals, resources on loss and suicide prevention information. Phone: 1-888-333-2377


The National Domestic Violence Hotline provides 24/7 crisis intervention, safety planning and information on domestic violence. Phone: 1-800-799-7233


The Suicide Prevention Lifeline connects callers to trained crisis counselors 24/7. They also provide a chat function on their website. Phone: 1-800-273-8255

Reach Out This website provides information on specific mental health disorders, as well as resources to help teens make safe plans when feeling suicidal, and helpful tips on how to relax.


Teen Mental Health Geared towards teenagers, this website provides learning tools on a variety of mental illnesses, videos, and resources for friends.


Jed Foundation Promoting emotional health and prevent suicide among college students, this website provides an online resource center, ULifeline, a public dialogue forum, Half of Us, and Transition Year, resources and tools to help students transition to college
